4D spine measurement as part of the OHM.


The ABW-Mapper 4D enables a differentiated 4D spine measurement within a few seconds. The raster stereography based on the unique, dynamic triangulation creates a 3D image of your clients with up to 2 million pixels at the push of a button. Misalignments, pelvic obliquities and other postural deficits are reliably detected and displayed in an easy-to-understand manner when compared with standard data. This technology, which has been established in the field of orthopedics for many years, can now be used extremely flexibly in BGM in the form of our mobile case system. The ABW-Mapper 4D captures the back and leg axes in high resolution and three dimensions. Analyses of the course of the spine are clearly displayed by this modern procedure. The 4D spine measurement also provides numerous biomechanical parameters, such as kyphosis/lordosis angle, pelvic/shoulder position, surface rotation, etc. in comparison with reference data.

How accurate do you take it?

The 4D spine measurement of the ABW-Mapper 4D captures data with constant spacing of approx. 1mm horizontally and vertically. This represents a significant advancement from the '1-image slide projection' with approx. 1cm line spacing used in conventional methods. With up to 2,000,000 pixels, this dynamic triangulation technology achieves a resolution many times finer than that of competitor methods. The 4D spine measurement process can be performed without anatomical markers. A specially darkened room is no longer required, in contrast to the conventional '4D method'. Even bras or large tattoos are no obstacle for valid recordings!

Software that impresses!

The user-friendly Windows software of the ABW Mapper 4D is characterized by its modern architecture and network capability. It offers valuable tools such as high-resolution height images or the virtual 3D spine and allows configurations individually tailored to the user. The automatic data analysis of the 4D spine measurement illustrates the results in an easily understandable way in a clear measurement protocol with tables and diagrams. Patient data is compared with reference values and therapy follow-up is impressively documented. The hardware and software of the ABW-Mapper 4D can be operated via a standard PC or laptop. The scanner, which weighs only 6.5kg, is mobile and can be used at various locations. The small patient distance of 135cm allows the implementation in the smallest rooms!

The 4D spine measurement can optionally be supplemented by the measurement of the lower extremities to assess the leg axes. This additional measurement option means a considerable expansion of the possible range of applications for you. Due to the radiation-free measuring method, e.g. x- and bow-leg positions can be detected and documented!

Dynamic pedobarography

Foot pressure measurement

Pedobarography (foot pressure measurement) is available as an option and is performed simultaneously with the 4D spine measurement while standing or dynamically. The measurement results are impressively animated in 3D to show relevant pressure peaks or asymmetries of the pressure distribution. Differentiated results for the weight distribution of the feet or resulting forces in the dynamics, the roll-off function and track of the foot etc. are automatically processed!

Thermography with the ABW-Mapper 4D

Thermography

The thermography calibrated with the system generates a true 3D representation of the thermal images in parallel with the 4D spinal measurement. Trigger points, hyper- and hypothermia are detected up to a tissue depth of 3cm. Thermography is an excellent tool in terms of holistic diagnosis. It is precise, quantifiable, non-contact and non-invasive. The measurement is performed simultaneously to the 4D analysis without any additional effort!
