The 4D spine measurement of the ABW-Mapper 4D captures data with constant spacing of approx. 1mm horizontally and vertically. This represents a significant advancement from the '1-image slide projection' with approx. 1cm line spacing used in conventional methods. With up to 2,000,000 pixels, this dynamic triangulation technology achieves a resolution many times finer than that of competitor methods. The 4D spine measurement process can be performed without anatomical markers. A specially darkened room is no longer required, in contrast to the conventional '4D method'. Even bras or large tattoos are no obstacle for valid recordings!
The user-friendly Windows software of ABW-Mapper 4D is characterized by its modern architecture and network capability. It offers valuable tools such as high-resolution height images or the virtual 3D spine and allows configurations individually tailored to the user. The automatic data analysis of the 4D spine measurement illustrates the results in an easy-to-understand way in a clear measurement protocol with tables and diagrams. Patient data is compared with reference values and therapy follow-up is impressively documented. The hardware and software of the ABW-Mapper 4D can be operated via a standard PC or laptop. The scanner, which weighs only 6.5kg, is mobile and can be used at various locations. The small patient distance of 135cm allows the implementation in the smallest rooms!
As a supplement to 4D spine measurement, the measurement of the lower extremities for the assessment of the leg axes is available for all system variants. This additional measurement option means a significant expansion of the possible range of applications for you. The radiation-free measurement method allows close-meshed documentation of the varus/valgus position of the leg axes, especially in children and adolescents. In addition, measurements before and after knee surgery prove to be very useful!
Pedobarography is an optional extension to the 4D spine measurement of the ABW Mapper 4D. This is performed simultaneously to the 4D measurement while standing or dynamically. The measurement results are impressively animated in 3D to show relevant pressure peaks or asymmetries of the pressure distribution. Differentiated results for the weight distribution of the feet or resulting forces in the dynamics, the rolling function and track of the foot, etc. are automatically processed.
Thermography calibrated with the system generates a true 3D representation of thermal images. Trigger points, hyperthermia and hypothermia are detected up to a tissue depth of 3cm. Thermography is an excellent tool in terms of holistic diagnosis. It is precise, quantifiable, non-contact and non-invasive. The measurement is performed simultaneously with the 4D analysis without additional effort.
